High-quality care
LNT Care Developments have developed 260 care homes across the UK, many of which have won awards. Crystal Care Collection operate our most recently built homes and offer the highest standards of care, focussing on fostering social inclusion and community amongst residents, who typically move from within three miles of the site.
Transport and Access
Access to the development will be taken from Bluebell Road, using the existing road constructed as part of the adjacent McCarthy & Stone bungalow scheme.
With up to 24 staff on site at once, staggered shifts and flexible visiting hours will help distribute journeys throughout the day, reducing impact on local roads.
The site is also well connected with local bus routes, pedestrian and cyclist connectivity to encourage sustainable travel. A full Transport Assessment will be submitted as part of our planning application.
Design and Landscaping
LNT Care Developments has completed a local design review, to ensure the high-quality materials used at the development are in keeping with local styles.
The proposals include new planting and landscaping throughout the site, alongside the retention of the majority of the existing trees.
The existing mature trees along the boundary of the site sit outside of our site area and will therefore not be removed as part of our proposals.
The benefits
Investment
The proposals will invest £2.7m in the local economy, using local contractors and suppliers where possible to boost opportunities and support the supply chain.
Jobs
The proposals will create around 50- 60 local jobs with competitive pay, plus opportunities for training and career development for team members, who are central to our community.
Housing Market
Most Crystal Care Collection residents move from within three miles, helping them stay connected locally. This also frees up family-sized homes for others, easing pressure on the housing market.
Reduced pressure on health services
Residents are supported in becoming healthier, happier and more independent, taking pressure off existing local healthcare infrastructure and improving access to servicesfor the wider community.
Working with the community
LNT Care Developments and Crystal Care Collection work closely with the local community and third sector partners, integrating care homes into their communities, for the benefit of residents and neighbours.
